New multi-tasking Sennheiser VMX Office headset offers Bluetooth connectivity for mobile office users
Communication accessory giant Sennheiser has introduced a new Bluetooth headset for the mobile office worker. This sporty new headset is designed to work with multiple devices, including Bluetooth enabled mobile phones, computers, and land lines, and lets users easily switch between them all.
The VMX Office headset offers connectivity through its base station, which allows users to roam free up to 35 meters and also acts as a recharging hub. The headset itself weighs 15g (0.5oz), sits over the ear, and can be worn on either the right or left ear. Besides letting users chat via Skype and quickly switch over to an incoming call on a landline, the headset also offers the latest in audio quality technology, such as digital signal processing and dual microphones.
The VMX Office headset from Sennheiser supports Bluetooth v2.0 and extended synchronous connections (eSCO), which can retransmit corrupted data received by the headset to keep audio clean. Its lithium battery offers up to 5 hours of talk time or 5 days of standby time. The VMX Office ships with a base station, USB cable, car charger, PC cable kit, RJ9 phone cable, and manual. No word yet on pricing but the headset is set to go on sale this month.
