Samsung WEP700

Over at our sister site, DigitalBurn, the boys had a chance to take one of Samsung’s latest Bluetooth headsets, the WEP700, out for a spin. This compact headset is perfect for users in need of an affordable handsfree and wirefree solution.

This small and lightweight headset, weighing a.4 ounces, is great for in-car use or just walking around the local shopping mall. The WEP700 offers automatic volume control, which lets the headset adapt to almost any environment, but does lack in volume when used in windy or extra loud situations, especially for the folks on the receiving end.

According to the manufacturer, the WEP700 should offer up to 6 hours of talk time but seemed to fall a bit short when tested and provided only 5:10 of consistent chatting. Another niggle with the Samsung WEP700 is the headset did not provide a great fit for smaller ears and often was a challenge to keep in ear so we definitely recommend either having a trial fitting or attaching the provided ear hook for extra stability.
